Rights Infringement Notices

What Animiyum is, and what it is not
Animiyum is a hosting provider. The video files in the catalogue are not stored on Animiyum servers; episodes are listed by linking to videos published by fansub groups and other third-party sources. The name of the group that published each source is shown next to it. Content is not reviewed before it appears.
What we can do is remove access to the reported content through Animiyum. Because the file itself is not held by us, deleting it at the third-party source is outside our control, and you may need to contact that source separately.
Hosting provider: Mophus Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 17403348. Registered office: 8/A Greenwood Grove, Mophus Office, Marcham, Abingdon, England, OX13 6FR.
Where to send your notice
Send your notice by e-mail to copyright@mophus.com. There is no form to fill in and you do not need an account.
Putting the title of the work in the subject line speeds up review.
What your notice must contain
If any of the following is missing we cannot assess the notice, and we will come back to you asking for it:
- Your name or company name, and whether you are the rightsholder or an authorised agent.
- An e-mail address and telephone number where we can reach you.
- The work concerned: its title, the season/episode where applicable, and the right you rely on (copyright, related rights, trade mark, personality rights).
- The exact URL of the reported content on Animiyum, one per line. Blanket references such as “the whole site” cannot be acted on.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use complained of is not authorised by the rightsholder or by law.
- A statement that the information you have given is accurate and that, if you are acting on behalf of the rightsholder, you are authorised to do so.
How we verify that you are who you say you are
Removing access on the strength of a notice also affects the rights of the user who added the content. We therefore need reasonable assurance that the sender is genuinely entitled to complain. The following is what that assurance looks like:
- Send the notice from an e-mail address on the corporate domain of the rightsholder or the agent. We do not reject notices from free e-mail services (gmail, hotmail and the like), but we will ask for additional evidence.
- Attach evidence of the right: a registration certificate, a licence or distribution agreement, or the address of an official page that names you as the rightsholder.
- If you act as an agent, attach a written authorisation that names both you and the rightsholder.
- We reply to the address the notice came from and, where needed, require confirmation from that address before we act. This demonstrates that the address is actually under your control.
- We check whether the incoming message passes e-mail authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). A notice that fails these is treated as unverified and is not acted on by itself.
These steps are not there to slow you down. Making it hard to take content down with a forged notice is precisely what allows a genuine notice to be acted on quickly.

What happens after you send it
- We review your notice. The maximum time depends on its type: 24 hours for personality rights and privacy notices, 3 days for copyright and related rights notices, 14 days for everything else.
- Where a notice appears well founded on its face we remove access immediately and complete the review afterwards. Removing a link is reversible; leaving it up while we deliberate is not.
- Where we uphold the notice, access is removed permanently and the user who added the link is informed.
- We write the outcome to the e-mail address the notice was sent from.
Counter-notice
The user who added the content may send a reasoned objection to the removal. If the objection is upheld the content is restored, and we tell the party who sent the original notice. The same identity and accuracy statements are required in a counter-notice.
Misuse
Knowingly sending a false or bad-faith notice carries legal liability. Notice records are retained so that repeat infringement and misuse can be identified.
Problems that are not rights infringement
Broken links, incorrect information or age classification can be reported with the Report button on the content page. This page is only for rights infringement notices.
