Bir gün okula giderken Tomoya Okazaki, Nagisa Furukawa adında tuhaf bir kızla konuşuyor. Günün ilerleyen saatlerinde, öğle yemeğinde Nagisa ile sohbet eden Tomoya, lisenin son yılını tekrar ettiğini öğrenir ve dağılmış olan drama kulübüne katılmak ister. Okuldan sonra Tomoya, Nagisanın aile fırınına gider ve ailesiyle tanışır; onlarla akşam yemeği yemeye davet edilir.
